Fisk is a historically black university (HBCU) located in Nashville, Tennessee. The student rocket team at the university builds a sounding rocket to compete in the NASA University Student Launch Initiative (USLI) program. The team also brings rocketry- and astronomy-focused science education activities to K-12 students in the Middle Tennessee area.The team is supported and assisted by the Tennessee Space Grant Consortium, the Music City Missile Club, and Hot Rod Rocketry.To see the team in action, please watch out video featuring the song "Nalgas" by Stanton Moore on All Cooked Out, Fog City Records, 1998, or look at our photos of the 2009 USLI launch.
